Auditions
Please see below for information regarding upcoming auditions for the Louisiana Tech University Department of Theatre events. Department of Theatre auditions are open to Louisiana Tech University students, faculty, and staff, as well as the community at large. Those wishing to audition for a production should sign up on the call board outside of Howard Center room 304 one week prior to the audition dates and fill out an audition form, located in room 304. Additionally, any specific instructions for a given audition is noted below. For questions regarding auditions, call the theatre office at 318-257-2930.
Our Town
Directed by Dr. Kenneth Robbins
Performance Dates: October 26-29; November 2-5, 2011
Audition Dates: September 12 and 13, 2011
Audition Time: 7:30 PM Each Night
Audition Location: Stone Theatre
Audition Requirements: Theatre majors and minors should have a one-minute, 20th Century American monologue prepared. For non-majors and minors, monologues will be provided.
The Adventures of Robin Hood
Directed by Paul B. Crook
Performance Dates: January 31-Feburary 4, 2012
Audition Dates: December 5 and 6, 2011
Audition Time: 7:00 PM Each Night
Audition Location: Howard Auditorium
Audition Requirements: Theatre majors and minors should have a one-minute, 20th Century American monologue prepared. For non-majors and minors, monologues will be provided.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILDREN AUDITIONING: Children can recite a poem, monologue, or read a few lines from the script, whichever they feel more comfortable doing.
Pippin

Audition Time: 7:30 PM Each Night
Audition Location: Stone Theatre
Audition Requirements: Theatre majors and minors should have a one-minute, 20th Century American monologue prepared. For non-majors and minors, monologues will be provided. ALL auditionees must sing 16 bars (approximately 30 seconds) of a song. You must have either sheet music or an accompaniment CD. The song should be in either a Broadway or early-1970’s pop style.
